More than 250 Lose Jobs in First Round of KSC Shuttle Layoffs October 5, 2009 -- Workforce experts in Brevard admit the county probably won't be able to find jobs for all the area's aerospace workers after the space shuttle is retired. The first round of shuttle-related layoffs took place over the weekend, and officials are urging workers to take advantage of job retraining programs before it's too late. 90.7's Judith Smelser reports.
