June 12, 2009-- Anytime a Shuttle looks like a sure bet for a liftoff, I think back to STS-51. Discovery was on the pad with the Advanced Communication Technology Satellite on board. The count went normally until 1/10 of a second before booster ignition. The main engines had started, when the on-board computers detected a problem and shut the launch down. Moral of the story? It goes when it goes.
