March 13, 2009--NASA says maybe a Sunday launch. I tend to believe it when I see it. The complex reasoning behind the launch of an upcoming Soyuz, and how it could delay Discovery, got a "down to Earth explanation" by Mission Management Team leader Mike Moses. Basically, it's because the space station crew can't have its attention pulled in two directions by a Soyuz crew and a Shuttle docking at the same time. That's why Discovery has to launch by March 17th or wait until April until the Soyuz departs.

Moses compared it to Spring Break when too many people crash at your apartment. I'll be listening to mission audio closely during Discovery's docking...

"Houston..this is Discovery... contact, capture...dude" ;)
