New Student Vets Group Forms at UCF January 30, 2008 A newly-formed chapter of the Student Veterans Association is holding its first meeting this afternoon on the campus of the University of Central Florida. UCF senior Jason Curtis, an Army veteran, is the president of the group, which started coming together last summer, at the suggestion of Jim Middlekauff, UCF's Director of Veterans Services. Another group for student vets tried to get off the ground at UCF ten years ago. Jason Curtis tells 90.7's David Pitman that the new group is trying to learn from the mistakes that kept the old group from gaining traction.
