Decision 2008: The Siplin/Ortiz race for State Senate District 19 October 29, 2008 -- In the closing days of the 2008 campaign season 90.7 is highlighting some of the most important political races in Central Florida. In State Senate District 19, Florida Democrats are hoping to hold on to the seat, but the GOP thinks the incumbent is vulnerable. Over the years, Democratic state senator Gary Siplin has dodged many bullets, including a felony conviction that was later overturned. Republican challenger Belinda Ortiz is hoping to unseat him. 90.7's Mark Simpson has this look at the race.
