Decision 2008: Sheriff candidates consider possibility of "Obama Effect"

September 29, 2008 -- The race for Orange County sheriff has many of the same characteristics as the race for president. There is no incumbant. The African-American Democrat trumpets the importance of social programs; the white conservative Republican emphasizes reductions in spending. And as 90.7's Steve Brown reports, both contests could hinge on what some experts call the "Obama Effect" more blacks turning out to vote on election day.
