Sail the seas of the 16th century with The Museum of Arts and Sciences “Florida’s East Coast Pirates” exhibit now showing through December 2008. Discover the artifacts that accompanied these sailors such as coins, tools and even weapons. Visit moas.org or call 386-255-0285 for more information.

Hi. I’m Secily Wilson, here’s a look at your local arts scene this week with your Arts Connection Minute for Tuesday July 15th.

The Cornell Fine Arts Museum of Rollins College reveals their latest exhibit today “Portrait of a Lady.” This collection includes roughly three dozen portraitures about and by women. You can see this collection now through August 31st. Visit rollins.edu/cfam for more information.

And then if you’re in the mood for a few laughs - catch The Moonlight Players Warehouse Theatre’s performance of “9 Months” in downtown Clermont now through July 20th. There will be discounted tickets to all expectant mother’s and refund for anyone who gives birth during the show. Urban Think Bookstore will be hosting the book signing for the award winning author of “Shaded Light” N.J. Lindquist’s “Glitter of Diamonds.” This is the second edition to her Manziuk and Ryan Mystery series exploring the world of baseball and touches on the price of dreams come true. And tomorrow at The Museum of Arts and Sciences in Daytona, you can see the exhibit “The Classical World” an installation of over 200 Greek and Roman antiquities now on loan from The Tampa Museum of Art’s permanent collection. Friday 7/18

Tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. Millenia Fine Art will be hosting a very special event “The Best and the Brightest” an exhibit of the recent graduates of The School of Visual Arts in New York City. Now you have the opportunity to see the artists of tomorrow. Call 407-304-8100 for more information.

And tomorrow be sure to join NPR’s resident space expert and our very own, Pat Duggins for the very first Orange County Regional History Center Book Club.
