If you’d like to spend some time outdoors tomorrow, Historic Bok Sanctuary in Lake Wales IS open Christmas Day in fact it’s open every day of the year from 8am to 6pm the centerpiece of the gardens is the 60-bell carrillon one of only 4 in the state. Carrillonneur William De Turk will play live tomorrow at 1:00 and 3:00.

With the kids out of school this week, you might be looking for some cultural outings, so here are some ideas….

The Orlando Science Center IS closed today and tomorrow but the rest of the week, your famly can enjoy the Daytona 500 exhibit about the science of Nascar and the new Titanic experiece .

There’s also the Orange County Regional History Center among the many exhibits is ORLANDO REMEMBERED, A-Z a look at like here before the theme parks!  The History Center is also offering a History Holiday Camp on Thursday for children ages 5 to 11

The Dr. Philips Cinedome is the world's largest I-werks domed theatre it’s at the Orlando Science Center and these films are currently running - THE ALPS, and MUMMIES SECRETS OF THE PHARAOHS. The Azan Shriners Center in Melbourne has a New Year’s Eve Gala from 9pm to 1 with ballroom dance music by the Swingtime Jazz Band.

and there’s an unusual exhibit in Bartow called EASING THE HOUSEHOLD BURDEN: THE RISE OF KITCHEN GADGETS. It features 100 years of homemaking tools and it’s at the Polk County Historical Museum through Wednesday

Museums like that would make a good cultural outing with the kids while they’re out of school there’s also the Science Center in Loch Haven Park, the History Center in Orlando, and the Museum of Arts and Sciences in Daytona---the exhibits include Coca-cola memorabilia and other Americana items collected by Chapman Root and the most complete Giant Ground Sloth Skeleton in North America. And there’s a special Cuban art exhibit on display through April
