IKEA Opens in Orlando November 14, 2007 -- After years of planning, months of hype, and days of people camping out, IKEA is finally opening its first store in Central Florida today. The Swedish furniture outlet, located near the Mall at Millenia, features more than 10,000 itesm of furniture and accessories in 300,000 square feet of space. 90.7's David Pitman asked Rollins College Marketing Professor Mark Johnston why people would camp out for days just to get inside a furniture store.
