The 5th Annual Global Peace Film Festival is running now through Sept. 30 at various locations, including CityArts Factory, where you can purchase tickets.  There will be panel discussions, community programs and films from numerous countries - this year's theme is "Peace Without Borders".

Environmental writer Bill Belleville has written several books and essays, but none more personal than his 2006 book, Losing It All to Sprawl: How Progress Ate My Cracker Landscape.  Belleville has been honored by 2000 Friends of Florida with the Al Burt Award, given to a journalist whose work keeps the issue of growth management in the public eye.  This story is from February of 2006.
