Stetson Adapts Third World Program to Fight Central Florida Poverty

Two professors at Stetson University in Deland have embarked on an economic experiment. They're taking a banking concept that started as a way to help people in poor countries and using it to fight poverty right here in Central Florida. It's called micro-credit, and while it's had a degree of success here, the Stetson professors are finding that there are challenges involved with moving a Third World concept into a rich Western country. 90.7's Judith Smelser reports.
