The Orlando Science Center presents DARK SCIENCE every Saturday night this summer. In June, local bands will be featured. Artists Unplugged Artist Day will put an artist in a local business to display their work and interact with the public. David Henion came up with the idea, and the first one is this Saturday afternoon at Urban Think Bookstore. Email David if your business would like to host an Artist Day. Tiffany's View of Oyster Bay window is returning to the Morse Museum for a limited time, after 30 years at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Two readings will be given by Women Playwrights Initiative next weekend. The first is next Friday, June 8 at 7pm at the Fred Stone Theatre at Rollins College. John DiDonna of Empty Spaces Theatre will direct THE WOMEN OF LOCKERBIE by Deborah Brevoort, who will have a talkbalk session after the reading. There will also be a reading of a brand new play on Sunday, June 10 at 7, also at Rollins. It's the winner of WPI's recent script competition - Ree Howell's FIVE WOMEN IN HAVANA During his 45 years in New York City, Jack Mitchell had hundreds of celebrities and artists come into his studio to have portraits made by this distinctive photographer. Known first for his dance work and over 160 covers of Dance Magazine, Mitchell also worked with figures in entertainment, film, classical music, literature and art. Recently, he put over 130 of these photographs into a book and an exhibit entitled ICONS AND IDOLS - A PHOTOGRAPHER'S CHRONICLES OF THE ARTS. It's at the Museum of Florida Art through June 17.

The change reflects a need to lessen the confusion of a time-limited "festival" as opposed to a year-long season, and the location of the plays.
