The April 2006 edition of UCF Metro with Linda Chapin, "The Medical College," features Dr. M.J. Soileau, Vice President of Research at the University of Central Florida and Tico Perez, Orlando attorney and a Central Floridian who serves on the Florida Board of Governors. On this edition of UCF Metro, we'll take a look at the Board of Governors meeting that changed the face of UCF. We'll also examine a potentially critical healthcare shortage that is looming on the horizon. We'll also examine the economic impact of a medical college and the research it encourages on our area. Initial air dates on WMFE Channel 24, are Sunday, April 2, 2006 @ 12noon and Sunday, April 9, 2006 @ 12noon. The show will then be televised on government channels.

And right after "UCF Metro" at 12:30 p.m. is "The Lake Wales Ridge" segment in the Naturally Central Florida documentary series. This serieswill run for consecutive weeks and will feature the Indian River Lagoon, the Greater Kissimmee Prairie, the Wekiva-Ocala Greenway, the St. Johns and Econlockhatchee Rivers; the Volusia Conservation Corridor; the Lake Wales Ridge; and the Green Swamp.
