Orlando City Soccer president Phil Rawlins says the field will be visible from Church Street, which faces the stadium.

“You’ll actually be able to see into the stadium from the street, you’ll be able to see the grass, see the field, it will be a very very iconic stadium,” Rawlins says.

“We’re going to build what I believe will be the most iconic stadium in major league soccer.”

On game days, Terry Street and Church Street will be open to pedestrians only.

Mayor Dyer spoke at the unveiling before the renderings were revealed.

“It’s a milestone for our team today to unveil the rendering of what is going to be the best hundred and ten million dollar stadium in the entire MLS,” Dyer said.

The mayor stressed what a hub for entertainment Church Street has become, and will continue to be with the building of this stadium.

The stadium is being designed in part by Populous, the firm responsible for the new Yankee stadium and the Sochi Olympic stadium.

It will be able to seat over 19,500 people, but no parking facilities will be built. On game day, fans will have to rely on the 16,000 parking spaces within one mile of the stadium.

Orlando City Soccer is contributing over $40 million to the $110 million stadium’s construction, and will be responsible for any budget overruns.

A few palm trees were removed from the stadium renderings for clarity, but Rawlins said that anyone watching on TV will immediately know they are in Orlando’s tropical setting.
