Angelou was a supporter of Zora! Festival, the celebration of the life and work of another great African American writer Zora Neale Hurston. 90.7’s Matthew Peddie speaks with Eatonville historian N.Y. Nathiri about the life and legacy of Maya Angelou.

Also, Doctor Ben Carson is best known for his successful separation of two conjoined twins joined at the head. After a successful career in neurosurgery, Doctor Carson put down the scalpel to become a political commentator and author focusing on national change.
