Intersection Segment | Film Looks at Rwanda 20 Years After Genocide


April 9, 2014 | WMFE, Orlando - This week marks the twentieth anniversary of the genocide in Rwanda. In 1994 nearly a million people were massacred in approximately 100 days in Rwanda, a country in Central Africa that's roughly the size of Massachusetts. Perpetrators and victims of the genocide now live side by side. Filmmaker Adam Mazo first visited Rwanda while working for a Sarasota TV station. His documentary "Coexist" profiles the reconciliation process in Rwanda. He spoke with 90.7's Matthew Peddie about his documentary.
