Healthcare Navigators Focusing on Special Enrollment Healthcare navigators say they're having an easier day now that the deadline for signing up for health care coverage is behind them. Their job now is to help with the special enrollment option.
Website glitches on the final day of open enrollment could have resulted in a big spillover into special enrollment. But healthcare navigator Elizabeth Hernandez says she’s not seeing that at her East Orange county location. “Our traffic has been moderate, now that does not speak of the other navigators who are in four counties of Central Florida including Orange, Seminole, Lake and Osceola,” she says. Some locations, like the Smith center in downtown Orlando, are seeing a higher number of appointments than other locations because of Monday’s website problems, but that location had higher traffic for open enrollment to begin with. |
