Spotlight: 90.7 Kicks Off Arts and Culture Segment with the Orlando Ballet

March 14, 2014 | WMFE, Orlando--90.7 News kicks off its new arts, culture and entertainment segment, Spotlight, with a look at an Orlando Ballet world premiere. Spotlight will air every Friday at 5:50 p.m. during the last ten minutes of All Things Considered.

Spotlight features commentaries from Mark Baratelli of The Daily City and Restaurant Critic Scott Joseph.  It adds to those existing favorites a weekly interview with a community member who can shine a spotlight on Central Florida.

This post features the premiere Spotlight interview.  Click “play audio” above to hear 90.7’s Amy Kiley speak with Orlando Ballet Artistic Director Robert Hill and guest choreographer Abdur-Rahim Jackson about Orlando Ballet’s world premiere of Some Assembly Required.  Hill explains the name comes from the performance’s collaboration of choreographers and combination of techniques.  He says, together, they “assemble” something new.
