The local Alzheimer's Association is taking a new approach to brain health by hosting a first of its kind BrainFest.

The March 15th Brain Health Festival isn’t about Alzheimer’s. It’s about brain health at all ages. Program Coordinator Beverly Engel says BrainFest is a unique, interactive event that will cover everything from concussion to meditation.

“It’s the first brain fest that we know of in any place, but especially in Orlando,” she says.

BrianFest is Saturday from 10 to 4 at the Winter Park Civic Center.  Speakers will include former pro wrestler Chris Nowinski, who will talk about preventing brain trauma in athletes, and Florida Hospital’s Michael Doughtery, who will talk about concussion affects and prevention.
