Congressman Alan Grayson's Wife Drops Injunction Pursuit

March 13, 2014 | WMFE, Orlando - The petition for a domestic violence injunction against Central Florida Congressman Alan Grayson has been dropped. Attorneys for Grayson's estranged wife filed a voluntary dismissal Wednesday.

Lolita Carson-Grayson was granted the restraining order earlier this month after she alleged her husband pushed her against the front door of the former family home where she now resides. Carson-Grayson filed for divorce in January.

Congressman Grayson, whose US House district includes parts of Orange and Osceola counties, has denied the accusations. A video of the incident recorded by a Grayson staffer shows only Carson-Grayson striking her husband.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office investigated Carson-Grayson's claims but declined to press charges.
