FHP Investigating After Schoolboy Run Over by Truck

February 5th, 2014 | WMFE, Orlando- The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident in which a 6 year old boy was run over on his way to school.

Investigators say Jaden Vasquez Vallejo was hit by a truck as he walked his bike in the crosswalk across the exit ramp of State Road 417 on Landstar Boulevard this morning.

His brother, a 5^th grader, tried to perform CPR on him after the accident.

The fatality comes during a week in which law enforcement in Orange County are targeting driver behavior at crosswalks around Orlando.  

Last year 36 pedestrians were killed and 534 injured in Orange County.
