Suspect Remains at Large in Workplace Shooting November 15, 2013 | WMFE - Deputies are pursuing a man who they say shot and killed a coworker this morning. It happened near the corner of Orange Blossom Trail and Sand Lake Road. The suspect, a black male, waited for the victim, a 42-year-old Hispanic male, to arrive for work, said Jane Watrel, spokeswoman for the Orange County Sheriff's Office. He approached the victim's car and shot him to death. The men worked together at a moving business and got into an argument Thursday, she said. "We know it was something as simple as they were getting in each other's way," Watrel said. "So it's tragic that something like that would lead to this outcome." The victim was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The suspect fled the scene and remains at large. |
