Time Change Marks Start of One-Day-a-Week Water Restriction  November 1, 2013 | WMFE - Eastern standard time starts Sunday. It's time to turn your clocks back an hour. The time change also marks the start of one-day-a-week landscape irrigation in Central Florida, as the region enters its dry season. The St. Johns River Water Management District says landscape irrigation can account for more than half of a residential property's water use. Watering is allowed on Saturdays at addresses ending with an odd number or buildings that have no address. It's allowed on Sundays at addresses ending with an even number. Watering is prohibited between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The water restriction doesn't apply to gardens. You can water with reclaimed water anytime. You also can water a new landscape anytime during the first 30 days after installation. |
