Investigators Search for Bodies of Missing Deltona Family  October 25th, 2013 | WMFE- The Volusia County Sheriff's Office says a Deltona mother and her two children are dead. 28 year old Yessenia Suarez, 8 year old Michael Otto and 9 year old Thalia Otto were last seen Tuesday. Photo courtesy of Volusia County Sheriff's Office] Earlier Suarez and her children were reported "missing and endangered in suspicious circumstances", but on Thursday night the Sherrif's Office said its Major Crimes Unit had discovered they were deceased, and a search for their bodies was underway. Investigators were talking Suarez' husband, 31 year old Luis Toledo, who is considered a person of interest, although by Friday morning no charges had been laid in the case. Toledo was arrested on a domestic violence charge Wednesday. In a press conference Thursday, Suarez’ family made an emotional plea for information about the missing mom and her children. Ruben Perez told reporters his step daughter was an excellent mother. “She’s a Rollins College student, she was about fixing to graduate, she was an excellent mom," said Perez. "The kids were awesome," he added. "I mean the little girl, she was like my angel and I miss her." |
