October 1st, 2013 | WMFE - John Waters is a filmmaker, journalist, writer, and stand-up comedian whose work spans almost five decades and ranges from cult-classic movies all the way to Broadway. John is visiting Central Florida to kick off Pride Week, and 90.7's Matthew Peddie talks to him about his career as a filmmaker and storyteller. Also, Florida-native author Karen Russell is one of this year's recipients of a MacArthur "Genius" Grant. Matthew Peddie revisits a conversation he had about how film influences her writing.
