Attorneys Get Closer in Zimmerman Jury Selection  June 14, 2013 | WMFE - The judge in George Zimmerman's second-degree murder trial asked nearly 30 jurors Friday to go home and come back Tuesday. After attorneys narrow the pool, potential jurors will face more questioning on issues like guns. Judge Debra Nelson's request that these potential jurors return Tuesday indicates that might be when the next round of questioning begins. The potential jurors include a black woman who disagrees that Martin was targeted because of his race. They also include a white woman who volunteers for the Saint Johns River Festival of the Arts and worries about negative publicity for Sanford. Attorneys will select six jurors and four alternates. They'll be sequestered throughout the trial. |
