It's the second recent incident of a weapon on campus and it is prompting Orange County Public Schools to begin random metal detector screenings of all students. On May 22nd, a Colonial High School student was arrested  for bringing a handgun to school, only a week after a loaded gun clip was found at Glenridge Middle school.  O-C-P-S spokeswoman Kathy Marsh said school officials realize the random metal detector screenings might be intimidating for some of the school district’s younger students, so the district will work with school administrators to help minimize fears. The random screenings are expected to go through the end of the school year, which ends June 5th.
