Intersection | Author T.D. Allman and Venezuelan Elections

April 2, 2013 WMFE - This week Florida celebrates the 500th anniversary of Spanish navigator Ponce De Leon's arrival in the sunshine state- but author and journalist T.D. Allman says we should take a closer look at the facts of Ponce De Leon's discovery- and the last 500 years of Florida history. Allman spent a decade researching his new book "Finding Florida: The True History of the Sunshine State". 90.7's Matthew Peddie talks with T.D. Allman about Florida's dark past and the future of this state. Also, in the wake of Hugo Chavez's death Venezuela prepares for a presidential election. How will it change US relations with Venezuela and what impact will it have on Venezuelan Americans in Florida? To answer those questions Matthew Peddie talks with Trudi Morales, a Professor of Political Science at the University of Central Florida and Honors Political Science Student Roman Torres.
