A stand your ground immunity hearing for murder accused George Zimmerman will be held in April. Zimmerman's attorneys hope to have his second degree murder charge dismissed at that hearing, which is set to take place 45 days before the start of his trial.

The stand your ground court date was set in the Seminole County Court Friday.

During Friday’s hearing Judge Debra Nelson said she would delay a ruling on whether to impose a gag order on the defense.

The prosecution claims Zimmerman’s attorney Mark O’Mara is using social media to influence potential jurors in the case.

O’Mara says he has not discussed any specific evidence and he has complied with bar rules.

George Zimmerman says he acted in self defense when he shot and killed unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin in February.
