Scott says he’s not sure when he’ll be scheduled to address the RNC but he does say he knows what his topic will be: jobs.

“People want jobs.” Scott said. “We’ve had a lot of success so far, but we still have 793,000 people out of work. So we’re not done yet.”

Gov. Scott’s message of positive job growth comes as likely Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney has begun airing a campaign ad linking President Obama to Florida’s 8.6 percent unemployment rate. What the ad does not say is that the rate has fallen from nearly 12 percent since Governor Rick Scott took office and has dropped dramatically since President Obama was elected in 2008.

Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush is also set to address the Republican National Convention which begins August 27th.

The two Florida governors will join a roster of GOP stars including former presidential candidate Rick Santorum, Arizona Senator John McCain, the 2008 presidential nominee and former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice.
