Judge Dismisses Motion to Disqualify him from Zimmerman Case In a ruling released Wednesday morning, Judge Kenneth Lester said the motion calling for his disqualification was legally insufficient. Attorneys for Zimmerman filed a motion last month to dismiss Judge Lester from the second degree murder case. Prosecutors said the court was not biased against Zimmerman and granted him bail twice. Zimmerman is currently out on $1 million bond. He faces a second degree murder charge for shooting 17 year old Trayvon Martin in Sanford. He claims to have acted in self defense. |
