Zimmerman's Second Bond Hearing Underway

The court in Sanford has heard details of how money donated to George Zimmerman before his first bond hearing in April was moved between different accounts. Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester revoked Zimmerman's $150,000 bond earlier this month when prosecutors told the judge Zimmerman and his wife misled the court about how much money they had.

Prosecutors said a website Zimmerman created for his legal defense had raised $135,000 at the time of his first bond hearing but he told the court he had limited funds.

A financial expert called by defense attorney Mark O'Mara friday said Zimmerman and his wife moved the donated money around between different accounts in denominations of less than $10,000 because of PayPal's transfer limit.

But the prosecution argues that they were moving the money to conceal it from authorities.

Prosecutors said Zimmerman and his wife Shellie spoke in code about the money in phone calls from jail.

Shellie Zimmerman was charged with perjury earlier this month after prosecutors claimed she colluded with her husband to hide the money and lied about it in court.
