Intersection Segment | Poor communication played part in low FCAT scores, new Orange superintendent says


June 13, 2012 | WMFE - Barbara Jenkins is Orange County's new schools superintendent. She takes charge at the same time the FCAT faces a credibility crisis. In the wake of shockingly low writing scores many are asking: Is the FCAT a reliable measure of student achievement? Does too much standardized testing detract from learning? This week on Intersection 90.7's Mark Simpson talked with Jenkins about the FCAT. Jenkins began the conversation by explaining the low scores could have been caused by poor communication.
