Arrests Follow Investigation into White Supremacist Group

Seven people have been arrested on hate crime charges following an investigation by the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force and local law enforcement into an Osceola County white supremacist organization. The state attorney's office says the investigation's part of a concentrated effort to stamp out hate crime in the community.

Among those arrested last weekend were Marcus Faella, Patricia Faella and Mark McGowan, the directors of the American Front in St. Cloud.

The Orange Osceola County state Attorney’s office said the militia style group is anti-Semitic and known as a domestic terrorist organization.

The seven suspects arrested on charges of paramilitary training- which is teaching others how to use or make a firearm or techniques capable of causing injury or death.

Other charges include attempting to shoot into an occupied dwelling, and evidence of prejudices while committing offense, or hate crime.

State Attorney Lawson Lamar said he would review the case and file the appropriate criminal charges.
