April 3, 2012: With all precincts reporting, incumbent Buddy Dyer won Tuesday's mayoral election with nearly 58% of the vote. This will be Dyer's third full term as Orlando Mayor. Dyer had to overcome a 50% margin to eliminate the possibility of a runnoff election, which he successfully did.

Dyer's nearest opponent, former city commissioner Phil Diamond mustered close to 28 percent of the votes cast in Orlando.  Three time Dyer challenger and businessman, Ken Mulvaney pulled in close to 12 percent of the vote, while political activist Mike Cantone garnered 3 percent support.

Despite Dyer's easy victory, questions are still circulating in political circles about whether or not Dyer will complete his new term.  Politics watchers say Dyer would make a good challenger against republican Governor Rick Scott.  Dyer says he will fullfill his term though.

Ken Mulvaney says he'll be returning to his commercial real estate business, Mike Cantone says he's keeping his political interests alive.  It wasn't immediately clear what's next for former commissioner Phil Diamond.
