The crowd chanted "Newt, Newt, Newt!"  Gingrich was joined by his wife Calista, on stage with local campaign supporters and VIP's.  Those included his Florida campaign co-chair, former state Attorney General Bill McCollum and former Orange County Mayor Rich Crotty.

No mention was made of Gingrich's space plans which he announced earlier this month.  Those plans included an American base on the moon, and keeping 10% of NASA's budget for prize money to incentivize competition to design better space vehicles and processes.

Democratic U.S. Senator Bill Nelson was singled out by Gingrich as a strategic target for republicans.  The former GOP house speaker urged his supports to help Republicans take the U.S. Senate as well.

The crowd quickly dispersed, as did Gingrich himself who took photos with fans, but did not field press questions.
