Intersection | Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer

November 15, 2011 | During last month's State of Downtown address Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer seized the opportunity and announced his love -- for the city he has governed since 2003. Dyer is a Central Florida native, born in Orlando and raised in Kissimmee. Today he's chief executive of a city that is among the state's most dynamic but also among the worst-hit by the recession. He faces high unemployment and a brand-new, high-tech arena left vacant by the N-B-A lock-out. High-speed rail has been derailed, but construction is poised to begin on a new, regionwide commuter rail. Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer on the state of the city. This week on "Intersection."
