Both UCF Athletic Director Keith Tribble and Assistant Football coach David Kelly resigned Wednesday after working at the school since 2006.

Men’s basketball coach Donnie Jones is temporarily suspended for 3 USA conference basketball games without pay.

University President John Hitt expressed disappointment over the situation, “This is a difficult day for me as I’m sure it is for all of our fans.  The conduct detailed in the NCAA’s report falls far short of our university standards and my own expectations of how our athletics program should operate.”

Hitt promised a review of University policies and oversights regarding the athletics department.

The University of Central Florida is pursuing a potential jump to the Big East Athletics conference.  The NCAA report is not expected to impact that effort.
