9/11 Had Lasting Impact on Florida's Economy

Sept. 06, 2011 | WMFE - This week 90.7 is commemorating the 10th anniversary of the 9-11 terrorist attacks. Those events had a major impact on Florida's economy.

Numerous factors including a shutdown of air travel and the closure of central Florida’s theme parks contributed to a steep decline in the tourism sector.  90.7’s Tom Parkinson asked economist Hank Fishkind if September 11th had an immediate and devastating impact on the region's economy and top industry.
