Consultant Says Better Economy Means New Life for Large Developments

July 15, 2011 | WMFE - Orange County is reconsidering two large development projects that commissioners turned away last year. Rybolt Park and Innovation Way East would each include about 5,000 new homes in addition to commercial space in the southeastern part of the county. This week, commissioners agreed to let Rybolt Park developers present their plans again, and they left the door open for further discussion on Innovation Way East.

90.7’s Tom Parkinson spoke about the change of direction with Gregg Logan, managing director of R-C-L-CO, a national real estate consulting company. Logan is based in Central Florida and has consulted in the past on numerous public and private development projects including Innovation Way East. He says the economic picture has gotten a little brighter since commissioners turned down the two projects last year.
