Hank Fishkind June 21 Florida's Population Will Grow After 2015

June 21, 2011 | WMFE - Florida's population growth rate will continue to decline until 2015 then remain flat at about 150 thousand new residents per year after that. That's according to the new projection of population trends from the University of Florida's Bureau of Economic and Business Research, known as "BEEBER". But economic analyst Hank Fishkind doesn't entirely agree with those projections even though he worked at the university in the 1970's and helped design many of the models used to produce the population forecast. 90.7's Tom Parkinson asked him to explain why the BEBR's annual projections are important.
