The phrase “SEAL Team 6” has been in the news a lot lately. That’s the name of the elite US Navy squadron that carried out the mission on Osama bin Laden’s Abbottabad compound.

At least for now, the name belongs to the Walt Disney Company. They’ve filed three trademark applications with the federal government for the rights to put the words “SEAL Team 6” on a wide range of merchandise. The trademark covers everything from toys and clothing to hand-held games to Christmas ornaments, including snow globes.

The trademark database says Disney first filed for the rights to “SEAL Team 6” two days after President Obama announced the raid.

There’s no confirmation on whether Disney is planning a “SEAL Team 6” movie.
