Intersection | Remembering Haiti One Year After the Earthquake

January 11, 2011 | A year after the earthquake in Haiti, President of the Greater Haitian American Chamber of Commerce of Orlando, Jackson Marcelin, explains the efforts made so far to help Haitians in Central Florida who fled the island. Marcelin also explains some of the ins- and outs of the US government's Temporary Protected Status, or TPS, which was granted to Haitians in the country illegally, last year. Plus hotelier Harris Rosen updates his efforts to build sustainable villages in Haiti. Rosen has created a pre-fabricated home, called the Little Haiti House, which he hopes to use, to help relieve housing congestion in urban areas of Haiti.
