Hank Fishkind - December 21 Jobless Rate Rises Slightly in Central Florida December 21, 2010 | WMFE - Florida's unemployment figures for November were released on Friday. The statewide jobless rate edged up slightly to 12% from 11.9% in October. It was not a large increase, but it was surprising because other indicators suggested the unemployment rate would decline. 90.7's Tom Parkinson spoke with economic analyst Hank Fishkind about the latest figures. He says unemployment is actually dropping in Central Florida and statistical anomalies are responsible for the unexpected rise in the statewide jobless rate.
