UCF Prof Says Central Florida Races Have National Significance

August 19, 2010 - Florida's primary is next Tuesday and 90.7 has been looking at the Republican challengers to the first-term Democratic incumbents in Central Florida's two most competitive congressional races. In Orlando's 8th District, Alan Grayson has attracted seven GOP challengers. Four Republicans are vying for the opportunity to run against the Space Coast area's Suzanne Kosmas in District 24. 90.7's Tom Parkinson spoke with University of Central Florida political scientist Aubrey Jewett for some analysis of those contests. Jewett says the races are getting a lot of national attention because these House seats are important to both national parties.
