Weather Delays Shuttle Landing

April 19, 2010 -- Space Shuttle Discovery will stay in orbit for another day. NASA cancelled plans to land the spacecraft in at Kennedy Space Center today because of bad weather.

NASA was hoping the weather would clear in time for Discovery’s second landing opportunity at 10:23am, but just before 9am, mission managers in Houston said there were still too many clouds around the shuttle landing facility and called off the landing.

Discovery has two chances to land at Kennedy Space Center tomorrow morning, along with three touch town opportunities at Edwards Air Force Base in California.  NASA says the crew has enough supplies to stay in orbit until Wednesday.
