Rep. Ritch Workman on the Future for Florida's Space Industry.

Gov. Charlie Crist is hosting a statewide space summit in Orlando. Participants are discussing the future of Florida's aerospace industry as the shuttle program is set to come to an end later this year. Republican State Representative Ritch Workman from Melbourne formed the space caucus with other members of the Florida House. Workman is attending the Orlando event. The summit comes not long after President Obama announced his intention to cancel NASA's Constellation program, which was supposed to send astronauts back to the moon. Instead, the president wants to pay private companies to fly Astronauts to the International Space Station. WMFE asked Representative Workman what Florida can do to prepare for a future in which private industry will handle space travel.
